Susan (Rankin) Adams, wife of Jim Adams, is a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Susan remains hopeful for her children, Nathan(32 of Greenview), Doug(28 of Mason City), Danielle(22 of Greenview), Sterling(15 of Greenview) and Alyvia(daughter of Danielle, 4 months of Greenview). She loves camping with her family, going to church, and enjoying life. She was the Greenview Church Secretary, the Greenview Zoning Officer, and worked as a Tax Assessor for the Menard County Courthouse. This was all before she was diagnosed with ALS(Amyotrophic Lateral Scerosis) commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease in December 2006. Her progression has been quick, but Susan and her family remain hopeful. Following her benefit on August 9th, Susan will head off to Zona Rio, Mexico with family members on September 14, 2008 for her Stem Cell Transplant. We are in hopes of the transplant returning some of Susan's abilities to live the life she once enjoyed. Please join us on August 9th at the Greenview Park for her benefit. The day will start off with a car wash from 8a.m. to noon. Then the sign up for the Poker Run is at 11a.m. at Richard's Tap just across the street from the park. At 4p.m. the car show will start lasting until 7p.m. The blue grass band will play from 3p.m. to 5p.m. with dinner starting at 4p.m. in the CIA building, also across the street. The auction will start under the park pavilion at 5p.m. Alcohol is being served at the "PUB" across the street. We would love it if you could come share this special time with us. There's plenty for the kids to do too! There is a moon bounce and the park equipment available for the kids to play on. Hope to see everyone there!!!
